With various governments implementing national or regional initiatives and programmes to encourage energy conservation activities, the 'green' trend is taking off in a big way in Asia. Environmental consciousness among consumers is increasing thus compelling companies and industries to become more responsible corporate citizens and invest in green HVAC, BAS, and lighting systems to reduce energy costs and carbon footprints. It is estimated that the market is likely to register more than 10 percent growth annually until 2015.

In light of global climate change and to ensure proper integration of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), IEQ Zone at Asian Building Technologies 2010 is a specialised area which presents a series of system, equipment and technologies, including Indoor Air Quality Systems, Energy Efficient Equipments, Environmental Hygiene and Safety Equipments .
